We've combined the beautiful chewy, nuttiness of our Tibetan blue barley flakes with naked rolled oats for creaminess and a little rye and spelt flakes to round it out. In winter we're eating it steaming hot with yoghurt, linseed meal, raw honey and stewed fruit, and for the warmer weather we recommend preparing it as a delicious overnight muesli.
Simply cook as you would oats, using around 1/3 cup flakes with 1/2 cup water and 1/2 milk per person. Stir regularly and cook until thick and creamy, adding more liquid if required.
We roll every week in small batches to ensure these flakes are fresh and nutritious.
